XCO 2020 Calendar: World Cup, World Championship and Tokyo Olympics

For those who cannot wait any longer until the UCI XCO World Cup races begin, here are all the dates and venues of the MTB World Cup and the 2020 MTB World Championship after the cancellations and postponements announced so far.

  • 20 - 21 March: Lousa (Portugal) DHI - POSTPONED
  • 25 - 26 March: Lourdes (France) DHI - POSTPONED WITH NO DATE SO FAR
  • 09 - 10 May: Losinj (Croatia) DHI - CANCELLED
  • 22 - 24 May: Nove Mesto (Czech Republic) XCO / XCC - POSTPONED WITH NO DATE SO FAR
  • 6 - 7 June: Fort William (Scotland) DHI - CANCELLED
  • 19 - 21 June: Vallnord (Andorra) XCO / DHI - CANCELLED
  • 25 - 28 June: Albstadt (Germany) XCO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP - POSTPONED WITH NO DATE SO FAR
  • 27 - 28 July: Tokyo (Japan) XCO OLYMPICS GAMES - POSTPONED TO 2021
  • 14 - 16 August: Lenzerheide (Switzerland) XCO / XCC 
  • 21 - 23 August: Mont-Sainte-Anne (Canada) XCO / DHI
  • 5 - 6 September: Leogang (Austria) DHI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
  • 12 - 13 September: Val di Sole (Italy) XCO / XCC / DHI
  • 18 - 20 September: Les Gets (France) XCO / XCC / DHI

So far, the latest announcement from the UCI states that no races will be held until July 1, so if this continues and with the cancelled races that we are aware of so far, only the World Cup and Nove Mesto's World Cup would have to be relocated on the calendar.

Both events might be scheduled before August 15 or after that, but it is difficult to predict after seeing what has happened with other big events. For example, the Vuelta a España could be held in November or it is not even certain that the Tour will be celebrated.
